Sandra Manturzyk is a wife, a mother and a passionate advocate. She married Voytek, her high school sweetheart 9 years ago, and together they have Annika (8), Alyseah (6) and Henrik (3).
Sandra grew up in BC but moved to Alberta for her husband’s job and now calls St. Albert home.
When Sandra is not playing softball, or hanging out with her husband and children, she can be found helping many community organizations with her charitable efforts.
As a childhood sexual violence survivor, Sandra is passionate about helping people walk thru trauma and onto the road of healing. She believes that there is incredible value in sharing your story, no matter what it is, because it will inspire others and help them on their own journey.
Sandra is also a community leader. After learning about the desperate need for diapers at the Mustard Seed, Sandra put out a call to action among her friends, and began collecting diapers. What began as a simple campaign for diapers has grown into “The Diaper Lady”, a non-for-profit organization that is able to bless a number of local charities by collecting needed items.
Sandra lives to help people become who they are meant to be by sharing her story, valuing people’s journeys, and also by helping meet practical needs.
Her favourite verse is, “But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me.” 2 Timothy 4:17
