This months Kaleo Prayer Night features a talk about ANXIETY.

“My anxiety started on the heels of my dad’s first heart attack. I was 12. Anxiety kept me from enjoying things as fundamental to childhood as sleepovers. I worked so hard to overcome and did in many situations, but anxiety became a descriptor of my teenage years.

At 22, my anxiety progressed into depression. I struggled with motivation in everyday tasks. I thought about how much relief I would feel if a piano fell out of the sky and finished me. I found relief instead in medication and God’s grace.

I’m an open book if anyone wants to talk. Ever.” – Lee Chea

Kaleo kicked off January with a small gathering full of dear, faithful women all loving and praying for one another.  It reminded me of our early days at the Apex Casino.  Some of my favourite Kaleo memories are from those days. We prayed for eachother, we prayed for our friends and families and we prayed for our city.  It was a truly lovely time.
Until next month…
